In Letters & Devotion a twelfth grader takes Bible: Christian Ethics and Vocation (84+ hours), Literature, Rhetoric, and the Examined Life (58+ hours), Precalculus (63+ hours) or Statistics and Data Science (54+ hours), Environmental Science (56+ hours), Foundations of American Government (28+ hours) and Economics (31+ hours), plus Philosophy and Logic. Hours and a transcript log themselves.

Bible: Christian ethics and vocation

Four units, 84+ hours: How to Decide. Work, Money, Words. Body, Sex, Family. Justice, Death, and a Life. The King James Version, every grade.

Precalculus, or statistics

Precalculus has eight units, from functions as a family of structures and the unit circle to vectors and matrices, polar coordinates, and conics with an introduction to limits. Statistics and Data Science has eight units, from describing data and study design to inference and a capstone study. Both are in the catalog.

Literature, rhetoric and philosophy

Literature, Rhetoric, and the Examined Life has eight units, from tragic form and Shakespearean tragedy through satire, civil disobedience and existentialism to a research seminar. Philosophy and Logic has four units: the tools of argument, knowledge, mind and body, and ethics.

Environmental science, and where the family chooses

Nine units, from systems and cycles through climate evidence, biodiversity, water, land and air to an energy tradeoff capstone and a unit called Stewards of a Created Earth. Science follows the Next Generation Science Standards for everything else.

Government and economics

Foundations of American Government and Civic Life has four units: constitutional design, the three branches, rights and liberties, and civic participation. Economics has four units: scarcity and choice, markets, the macroeconomy, and trade and development.

What this is not

It cannot promise any college will accept a homeschool transcript. It prints one of what was taught and mastered, and your family issues it.
It has no course labeled AP or honors, and no language beyond Spanish II.
It is a lot of courses. You decide which to take, which to hold back and how many to do in a day.

We collect only what it takes to teach your child: the first name and sign-in you choose, their answers and progress, and their chat with Clara (written by Anthropic's AI, read aloud by OpenAI). Nobody trains AI on it or sells it, and you can see or delete it any time. You create your child's account yourself. Ticking the box below is how you, as the parent, give consent.

Read what we collect and why

Your consent is needed before we collect anything from your child, and we collect nothing without it. You create your child's account yourself; they never sign up alone.

What we collect from your child: the first name and sign-in you choose, their answers, time on lessons and progress, and their chat with Clara. Used to run the lessons, build their transcript and show you how they are doing.
Who else handles it: Anthropic writes Clara's replies from the chat, the lesson and your child's first name. OpenAI turns lesson text and Clara's replies into the read-aloud voice. Spoken answers are turned into text on our own server and never sent anywhere. Our email provider sends you reports. Nobody sells your child's data or uses it for anything else.
Your rights: see everything collected from your child, have it deleted, or stop further collection at any time, from your account or by emailing our support address. If you refuse the sharing above, Clara cannot teach, so the service cannot run. Chats are deleted after 30 days.
Safety: if your child writes something suggesting they may be hurt or in danger, we email you and the owner of Letters & Devotion the same day.
