Geometry
Eight units: Transformations and Congruence, Triangle Congruence and the Logic of Proof, Similarity, Coordinate Geometry, Right Triangle Trigonometry, Circles, Three-Dimensional Measurement, and Geometric Probability. It follows the Common Core State Standards.
Chemistry
Eight units: describing matter, the atom and the periodic table, bonding, the mole and stoichiometry, gases, solutions, rates and equilibrium, and acids, bases and electron transfer, in line with the Next Generation Science Standards.
English 10 and world history
English 10 has eight units from Reading Closely, Reading Suspiciously through Shakespeare, the Architecture of Persuasion and a research argument to a capstone defending a claim across texts. Patterns of Power runs from c. 1200 to the present in eight units, from land empires to a connected world.
Computer science, speech, Spanish and PE
Computer Science Principles teaches algorithms, Python, data, networks and cybersecurity. Speech and Communication, Spanish II and Physical Education II are separate courses, and a visual analysis history course is in the catalog too.
What this is not
- It cannot promise any college will accept a homeschool transcript. It prints one of what was taught and mastered, and your family issues it.
- It has no course labeled AP or honors, and no language beyond Spanish II.
- It is a lot of courses. You decide which to take, which to hold back and how many to do in a day.
