Why it is built this way
Most language classes produce students who can conjugate and cannot speak, because one teacher and thirty kids leave nobody any conversation time. Here Clara talks with your child every day and never sighs.
Never teaches grammar
When a student says something wrong, Clara simply says it back correctly and keeps going, the way you learned your first language. She starts at about 10% Spanish and works up as they cope.
Year two demands more
In Spanish II she speaks much more Spanish, pushes for four sentences where one used to do, and disagrees with your child on purpose so they have to defend a position.
Judged on what they did
Progress is measured by an independent check that only counts what they actually demonstrated in conversation.
What this is not
- It is one course among many. You decide which to take, which to hold back and how many to do in a day.
- It has no language beyond Spanish.
- Clara is an artificial intelligence, not a human speaker, and the course relies on speaking aloud to her.
