For a child who is behind
What homeschool curriculum helps a child who is behind grade level?
Free for 30 days. No card.
Every course in every grade, for every child in the family. Lessons pause when the free days end unless you choose to subscribe.
Start 30 days freeLetters & Devotion works so that a child who is behind is not hurried: the course slows down automatically when a child struggles, and Clara, the AI teacher in every lesson, explains the specific mistake behind a wrong answer instead of simply marking it. It is a Christian K-12 curriculum, not a tutoring service or an intervention program, and you can read every lesson first and try it free for 30 days.
The course slows down on its own
Every module is mastery paced. When a child struggles the course slows down automatically, and a skill is not marked learned because a week ended.
A wrong answer gets explained
Asked what 304 minus 178 is, a child who answers 136 hears that they borrowed from the hundreds but forgot the tens place changed too, and then they work it through together. The wrong answers in a lesson are designed from documented misconceptions, so the feedback can name the actual mistake.
Start where the child is
You set the grade and can change it whenever you like, and you can add courses from any grade in the catalog. Reading is taught as systematic phonics, early math is concrete before abstract, and Learning to Read: Systematic Phonics is a K-2 course of five units.
Read it first, and read it afterwards
Every course is published in full, so you can read each unit and skill before your child meets it. Afterwards you can open any lesson and read the whole conversation, and the dashboard shows what was mastered and where your child got stuck.
Thirty days to find out
The first 30 days are free with no card, for every course and every child in the household. When they end, lessons pause unless you subscribe, and nothing is charged without a card.
What this is not
- It is not a tutoring service or an intervention program. Clara is an artificial intelligence, not a human tutor, and you remain the one who decides what your child studies.
- It does not diagnose or evaluate anything. If you suspect a learning difference, this is not a substitute for an evaluation by a qualified professional.
- Slowing down is the point, and it is also the tradeoff: a course can take longer than a school year, and the transcript shows what was mastered, not what was scheduled. A young child who is still learning to read cannot run a lesson alone.

Questions parents ask
Can my child start below their grade level?
Yes. You can set a lower grade and change it at any time, and add individual courses from any grade in the catalog. Nothing checks it against their age.
Will my child be rushed through the material?
No. Every module is mastery paced, and when a child struggles the course slows down automatically.
What happens when my child gets an answer wrong?
Clara explains which mistake it was instead of marking it, and you can read the conversation afterwards.
Does this replace an evaluation or a tutor?
No. It is not a tutoring service, an intervention program or an evaluation, and Clara is an AI rather than a human tutor.
