Reading support
What does a homeschool curriculum for dyslexia need to do?
Free for 30 days. No card.
Every course in every grade, for every child in the family. Lessons pause when the free days end unless you choose to subscribe.
Start 30 days freeA child who reads slowly can still think well. Letters & Devotion has a Reading support that a parent switches on, labeled on the setup screen as often chosen for dyslexia. It changes how the page is read and shown, not what is taught.
Read aloud
Lessons, questions, answer choices and feedback are read in a natural voice, and each word lights up as it is read. You can slow the voice down.
A clearer page
A choice of two fonts built for readability, Lexend or Atkinson Hyperlegible, plus extra letter and line spacing and a soft colour tint in cream, blue, green, rose or yellow.
Answer without typing
Clara can put answer buttons on every reply, and a child can say an answer out loud once you turn on the microphone switch.
Spelling does not count against them
Clara judges what a child meant, not how it was spelled.
What this is not
- It does not diagnose anything or store a diagnosis. You pick supports, not a condition, and your child never sees a condition name.
- It is not special education, therapy or an evaluation, and it is not a substitute for an IEP.
- It is not a structured literacy or phonics program. It makes grade-level lessons easier to get into, and a child who needs systematic reading instruction needs that from someone qualified.

Questions parents ask
How do the supports work?
On the parent side you pick from six starting points: Reading support, Focus support, Predictable routine, Math support, Writing support and Low-pressure mode. Each is a bundle of single switches, and any switch can be turned on or off on its own.
Does this replace an evaluation or an IEP?
No. The setup screen says it plainly: these change how lessons look and feel, and they are not a substitute for an evaluation or an IEP.
How will I know if a support is helping?
After about three weeks the parent side asks whether it is helping, and you can change or remove any support at any time.
Can I see the course before paying?
Yes. Every unit, skill and objective is published with no account, and a full sample lesson at /sample needs no account.
What does it cost?
$29 a month or $290 a year for every child. The first 30 days are free with no card.
