Start 30 days freeLife Science: Systems, Energy, and Change is a year of biology built as one long chain, nine units and 36+ hours, from cells to ecosystems. It includes a Creation unit, Created Kinds, and the family chooses at signup whether evolution is taught alongside.
The nine units
Cells: The Unit of Life. Body Systems as Interacting Subsystems. Photosynthesis and Respiration: The Energy Story. Ecosystems: Matter and Energy in Communities. Population Dynamics. Reproduction and Heredity. Created Kinds. Natural Selection and Adaptation. Building the Evidence Case: Synthesis Across Scales.
One chain, not eight topics
A child looks at real cells under a household microscope, then zooms out: cells make organs, organs make systems, energy runs cells and ecosystems, heredity explains why individuals differ.
An evidence argument
By June a child uses everything together to build an evidence argument for how two species are related.
Your choice at signup
You pick Creation or Creation, with evolution taught alongside.
What this is not
- It is one course among many. You decide which to take, which to hold back and how many to do in a day.
- It does not use a lab. The microscope is a household one.
- A child who is behind is not stuck. The course is mastery paced and slows down when a child struggles.
