Start 30 days freeBible: Kings, Prophets and a Promise, a Second Grade Year covers judges, kings and prophets and ends on the promise the Old Testament is leaning toward. It is four units and 45+ hours, read from the King James.
The four units
When Judges Ruled. A King Like the Nations. The Kingdom Divided. Exile and a Promise.
What a week looks like
You read a short passage aloud from the King James, your child tells it back in the plain words printed under it, learns one verse, asks three questions, and does one thing.
Where the pencil starts
At seven the doing starts to include a pencil: copying the verse, writing a sentence, making a list.
How long it takes
Twenty to thirty minutes, three times a week.
What this is not
- It is one course among many. You decide which to take, which to hold back and how many to do in a day.
- It is not a modern paraphrase. The King James text is read, with plain words printed underneath.
- It is not a quiz course. The writing is the assessment.
