The eight units

Adjudicating Sources: The Research Argument. Compression: Reading Poetry and Voice. Capstone: Defending a Claim Across Texts.
Short stories to a whole novel
A child starts with short stories and works up to a novel, a Shakespeare play, real speeches and essays, and finally their own research paper.
Defended out loud
By the end a child picks a claim about a book or play, defends it in writing, and then defends it out loud when someone pokes holes in it.

Nothing here is a standalone unit you do for two weeks and forget.
What this is not
- It is one course among many. You decide which to take, which to hold back and how many to do in a day.
- It cannot promise any college will accept a homeschool transcript. It prints one of what was taught and mastered, and your family issues it.
- It has no course labeled AP or honors.
