Start 30 days freeYes. Environmental Science: Systems, Evidence, and Choices is a grade 12 course of nine units and 56+ hours that treats the subject as connected systems. It ends with a unit called Stewards of a Created Earth.
The nine units
Systems, Energy Flow, and Biogeochemical Cycles. Population, Consumption, and Carrying Capacity. The Greenhouse Effect and the Carbon Cycle Perturbed. Evidence, Attribution, and Climate Data. Biodiversity Loss and Ecosystem Stability. Water and Land: Pollution Pathways. Air Quality, Toxicology, and Distributed Harm. Capstone: Energy Systems and Tradeoff Analysis. Stewards of a Created Earth.
Using biology and chemistry already learned
A senior uses what they know to follow energy through a food web, to see why population and consumption are not the same thing, and to understand the greenhouse effect at the molecular level.
Evidence from home
Almost every unit ends with collecting real data from a backyard, a local pond, a park or a window box and writing an argument from that evidence.
Weighing tradeoffs
The capstone weighs real tradeoffs in energy policy where there is no single right answer.
What this is not
- It is one course among many. You decide which to take, which to hold back and how many to do in a day.
- It cannot promise any college will accept a homeschool transcript. It prints one of what was taught and mastered, and your family issues it.
- It follows the Next Generation Science Standards, and the family chooses at signup how evolution is handled elsewhere in the science courses.

Questions parents ask
Is the Christian view in it?
The final unit, Stewards of a Created Earth, takes it up directly, and a King James Bible course runs every grade.
Does it count toward a high school transcript?
Hours log themselves and a transcript of what was taught and mastered prints in one click. There is also a free transcript maker at /homeschool-transcript that needs no account.
What does it cost?
$29 a month or $290 a year for every child. The first 30 days are free with no card.
