Start 30 days freeYes, there is a Christian homeschool math curriculum for every grade from kindergarten through twelfth: Letters & Devotion has fourteen math courses of 8 units each, from kindergarten math through Algebra I, Geometry and Algebra II to Precalculus and Statistics and Data Science, all following the Common Core State Standards.
Kindergarten to grade 5
Numbers, Shapes, and Stories (kindergarten), Tens, Ones, and Adventures (grade 1), Number, Shape, and Measure (grade 2), Number, Shape, and Pattern (grade 3), Grade 4 Mathematics: Place Value, Operations, and Fractions, and Place Value, Parts, and Space (grade 5). Each is 8 units. Early math is concrete before abstract.
Grades 6 to 8
Ratios, Relationships, and the Number System (grade 6), Mathematics 7: Proportional Reasoning and Rational Number Systems (grade 7), and Pre-Algebra: Foundations for Algebra I (grade 8). Each is 8 units.
Grades 9 to 12
Algebra I (grade 9), Geometry: Structure, Proof, and Measurement (grade 10) and Algebra II: Functions, Structure, and Modeling (grade 11). Grade 12 lists two courses, Precalculus: Functions, Trigonometry, and Mathematical Modeling, and Statistics and Data Science: An Introduction to Statistical Reasoning. Each is 8 units.
When a step goes wrong
A wrong answer gets the specific mistake explained, not a red mark. Asked what 304 minus 178 is, a child who answers 136 hears that they borrowed from the hundreds but forgot the tens place changed too, and then they work it through with Clara. The lessons follow a plan written by a professor with a PhD in education.
Mastery pacing, in math especially
Proving a skill early unlocks the next one the same day, and struggling slows the course down. A child can be at a different grade level in math than in reading or science. The stated pace is roughly 30 to 50 minutes per subject per day on screen.
What this is not
- It follows the Common Core State Standards. A family that wants to avoid Common Core should look elsewhere.
- There is no calculus course, and no course labeled AP. Precalculus and Statistics and Data Science are both listed at grade 12, so that is where the sequence ends.
- Clara is an artificial intelligence, not a human tutor, and she can be wrong, which is why parents can read every conversation. It is not accredited and does not issue a diploma.

Questions parents ask
Is there a Christian homeschool math curriculum that follows Common Core?
Yes. All fourteen Letters & Devotion math courses, kindergarten through grade 12, follow the Common Core State Standards, and every grade also has a King James Bible course.
What math comes after Algebra II?
Precalculus: Functions, Trigonometry, and Mathematical Modeling, and Statistics and Data Science, both 8 units and listed at grade 12. There is no calculus course.
What happens when my child gets a math problem wrong?
Clara explains which mistake it was, then works it through with them. Parents can read every conversation afterwards.
Can my child be ahead in math but at grade level in reading?
Yes. Courses are mastery paced, and a child can be at different grade levels in different subjects.
