Choosing a grade
How do I pick a grade level for my homeschooler?
Free for 30 days. No card.
Every course in every grade, for every child in the family. Lessons pause when the free days end unless you choose to subscribe.
Start 30 days freePick the grade your child would be in, then adjust one course at a time. If you are not sure, a short starting point tool for reading and math suggests where to begin, and you can change the grade whenever you like.
Grade is yours to set
You set a grade for each child. If it turns out wrong, change it without losing what the child has done.
Not sure? Find a starting point
The parent area has a short tool that checks reading and math and suggests a grade and unit to begin at. It is a starting point, not a score, and nothing about it is fixed.
Course by course
You can add or remove individual courses from the whole kindergarten to grade 12 catalog. A child can be on grade 5 reading and grade 3 math in the same week.
Look before you choose
Every course, unit and skill is readable with no account. Read the first unit of two grades side by side and see which one fits.
Try it first
A full sample lesson is at /sample with no account. The first 30 days of the whole curriculum are free with no card.
Let the dashboard tell you
It shows what was mastered and where your child got stuck, so the next change is a choice you can see.
What this is not
- It does not diagnose or rank your child. The starting point tool suggests where to begin, and the choice stays yours.
- It is not a ruling on whether a child is ahead or behind. The grade is a label.
- It does not promise that a grade here matches another curriculum's grade. Read the scope and sequence to compare.
