Start 30 days freeA day with Letters & Devotion is roughly 30 to 50 minutes on screen for each subject your child takes, with Clara teaching through conversation, the week opening with the Bible read together at the table, and PE done off screen. The curriculum does not impose a schedule beyond that, so the rest of the day is yours to arrange.
The week opens at the table
The Bible lesson is done together. You read the passage, your child tells it back, they learn a short verse, you talk through a few questions and do one small activity, and then your child tells Clara how it went.
The other subjects are Clara's
Each of the other subjects is roughly 30 to 50 minutes a day on a screen. Clara teaches through conversation, not video, so your child is answering questions rather than watching, and there is no autoplay.
The arithmetic, not a recommendation
The number of subjects is your decision. As arithmetic only, four subjects at 30 to 50 minutes each comes to between two hours and three hours twenty minutes of screen time, and PE is not part of it because PE is off screen.
What you do while they work
The youngest children need you beside them: a kindergartner hears each question read aloud and answers by tapping, and many early lessons begin at the table. With older children, you can check the day afterwards on the parent dashboard, and open any lesson to read the conversation.
What logs itself
Hours log per course as your child works, mastery is tracked per skill, and the transcript prints in one click. Nothing is scheduled and there are no live classes, so a lesson can happen before you leave or in the evening.
What this is not
- No schedule is imposed or promised. This page does not give a clock-by-clock day because the curriculum does not set one.
- The arithmetic is only arithmetic. Real time varies with the subjects you choose, and with mastery pacing: when a child struggles the course slows down.
- It is not hands-off. The weekly Bible lesson is done together, and a young child cannot run most lessons alone.

Questions parents ask
How long is a school day with Letters & Devotion?
Roughly 30 to 50 minutes on screen per subject per day. The total depends on how many subjects your child takes, and PE is off screen.
Does my child need me there for every lesson?
For the Bible lesson, yes: it opens the week at the table. For the other subjects Clara teaches directly, though younger children still need an adult beside them.
Is there a fixed schedule or a live class?
No. Nothing is scheduled and there are no live classes, so the work happens whenever your household is free.
Where does PE fit in the day?
PE is off screen on purpose. The PE course gives you a weekly plan of what to go and do.
