Mastery pacing, stated plainly
How does an adaptive homeschool curriculum actually work?
Free for 30 days. No card.
Every course in every grade, for every child in the family. Lessons pause when the free days end unless you choose to subscribe.
Start 30 days freeIn Letters & Devotion every module is mastery paced. When a child struggles the course slows down automatically, and a skill is not marked learned because a week ended. Clara, the AI teacher in every lesson, reads the actual wrong answer and explains what went wrong instead of just marking it.
Mastery, not the calendar
Most curricula are built around weeks. Here the work is organised as units and lessons, and a skill counts as learned when your child has shown it, not when a date arrives. A child who needs four days on one idea simply takes four days.
The course slows down on its own
When a child struggles, the course slows down automatically. You do not have to notice, rearrange a schedule or decide to repeat a unit.
A wrong answer gets a reason
Asked what 304 minus 178 is, a child who answers 136 hears that they borrowed from the hundreds but forgot the tens place changed too, and then works it through with Clara. The wrong answers in a lesson are designed from documented misconceptions, so the feedback can name the actual mistake.
You can see where it slowed down
The parent dashboard shows what was mastered and where your child got stuck, and you can open any lesson and read the whole conversation with Clara.
A child who is ahead
You set the grade for each child and can change it at any time, and you can add courses from any grade in the catalog. A child who is ahead in one subject can work above grade there.
What this is not
- It is not a diagnosis or an evaluation. The pacing responds to how your child answers, and it cannot tell you why a child is struggling.
- Slowing down has a cost. A course can take longer than a school year, and the transcript shows what was mastered, not what was scheduled.
- Clara is an artificial intelligence, not a human tutor, and you stay the one who decides what your child studies.

Questions parents ask
What does adaptive mean here?
The course is mastery paced. It slows down automatically when a child struggles, and a skill is not marked learned because a week ended.
Does the AI just mark answers right or wrong?
No. Clara reads the actual wrong answer and explains the specific mistake, then works through it with your child.
Can I see what my child struggled with?
Yes. The dashboard shows what was mastered and where your child got stuck, and any lesson's conversation can be read in full.
Can I try it before paying?
The first 30 days are free with no card, and a full sample lesson at /sample needs no account.
