Start 30 days freeHealth Literacy and Personal Well-Being is a grade 9 course of seven units and 35+ hours, built for one kid and one parent, not a classroom. It is about how to run your own body and make your own calls.
The seven units
Fueling and Recovering the Body: Nutrition, Fitness, and Sleep. Stress, Emotion, and Help-Seeking. Substance Use and Its Effects. First Aid, Emergency Response, and Personal Safety. Consumer and Digital Health Decisions. The Body God Made. Marriage, Purity and Abstinence.
Practical
What to eat and why, how to train and sleep, what stress is doing to you and when to get help, how alcohol and nicotine act on a teenage body, and what to do in the first sixty seconds of an emergency.
Judging claims
How to tell a real health claim from a marketing pitch.
Sex education
The main course skips sex education entirely, and where topics brush up against puberty or body systems it stays on the factual, non-sexual side. The last two units are from a Christian position, and sex education is a family choice at signup.
What this is not
- It is one course among many. You decide which to take, which to hold back and how many to do in a day.
- It is not medical advice.
- It cannot promise any college will accept a homeschool transcript. It prints one of what was taught and mastered, and your family issues it.

Questions parents ask
Does it include sex education?
The main course skips it. Whether a sex education course is included is a choice the family makes at signup.
Does it count toward a high school transcript?
Hours log themselves and a transcript of what was taught and mastered prints in one click. There is also a free transcript maker at /homeschool-transcript that needs no account.
What does it cost?
$29 a month or $290 a year for every child. The first 30 days are free with no card.
