What we can do is be specific about our own product, accurate about the shape of theirs, and honest about where they are the better answer. What Power Homeschool is
Power Homeschool is the parent-led version of the Acellus courseware: recorded video lectures with practice, a very large course catalog including a wide range of electives and advanced courses, and a parent account that assigns and monitors. Acellus Academy is a separate, accredited school product from the same organisation, which is worth knowing because the two get discussed as if they were one thing.
The pricing difference that actually decides it
Power Homeschool prices per student, with a cap on how many courses a subscription includes at one time. Their published figures have moved and third-party sources disagree with each other, so check the current price on their own enrolment page rather than on any review site, including this one.
Letters & Devotion is $29 a month for every child in the household, month to month, with no per-child seats and no course limits. That is $348 a year whether you have one child or four, or $290 a year on the annual plan. The first 30 days are free, a card is taken and nothing is charged until day 30, and cancelling before then costs nothing.
The comparison to run is the same either way: monthly price, times the number of children, times twelve.

- You want video lectures. Power Homeschool is built on recorded teaching video. Letters & Devotion teaches through written explanation and conversation with no lecture video at all, and if your child learns best by watching, that is a genuine reason to choose them.
- You need an unusual elective or advanced course. Their catalog is much larger than 84 courses and covers subjects we simply do not have.
- You want an accredited option with a diploma. Their sibling product, Acellus Academy, is an accredited school. Letters & Devotion is a curriculum and issues no diploma, so if accreditation is the requirement, we are not a candidate.

The teacher responds instead of playing
Clara reads the actual answer your child gave and explains the specific mistake in it. That is a different thing from a recorded lecture followed by a graded quiz, and it is the thing this product is built around.

Is Power Homeschool the same as Acellus?
Power Homeschool is the parent-led product built on Acellus courseware. Acellus Academy is a separate accredited school product from the same organisation. They are often discussed as one thing and they are not.
Which one is accredited?
Neither Power Homeschool nor Letters & Devotion is an accredited school; both are curricula for parent-led homeschools. Acellus Academy, their separate product, is accredited.
Which has more courses?
They do, considerably. Letters & Devotion has 84 courses covering the core subjects K-12 plus health, PE, art, music, computer science and world languages. If you need an elective outside that, they are more likely to have it.

Why there is no price for Power Homeschool on this page
We checked in September 2026 and the sources contradicted each other, including the companies' own pages against the review sites. Publishing a competitor's price that turns out to be wrong is unfair to them and useless to you, and any figure here would be out of date within a month anyway.
