What Miacademy is
Miacademy is an online curriculum for the elementary and middle grades, with a companion product for older students. It is known for being engaging: gamified progress, rewards, and moderated kid-safe social features that let children interact inside the platform. For a lot of younger children that is the difference between doing the work and not.
The pricing difference that actually decides it
Miacademy prices per child, with monthly, annual and multi-child options and periodic introductory offers. Your household total is their price multiplied by the number of children, less whatever the current family arrangement is, so check the current terms on their site.
Letters & Devotion is $29 a month for every child in the household, month to month, with no per-child seats and no course limits. That is $348 a year whether you have one child or four, or $290 a year on the annual plan. The first 30 days are free, a card is taken and nothing is charged until day 30, and cancelling before then costs nothing.

- Your child needs the game to stay at the table. Miacademy leans hard on rewards, badges and progress mechanics. Letters & Devotion deliberately has none of that: no streaks, no timers, no points to protect. For a child who runs on that motivation, their design is the better fit and ours will feel plain.
- You want moderated social features. Children can interact with other students inside Miacademy in a supervised way. There is nothing equivalent in Letters & Devotion, which is a single child working with a teacher.
- Your children are all in the elementary years and you want something built specifically for that age, rather than a K-12 sequence that has to serve a kindergartener and an eleventh grader.

We checked in September 2026 and the sources contradicted each other, including the companies' own pages against the review sites. Publishing a competitor's price that turns out to be wrong is unfair to them and useless to you, and any figure here would be out of date within a month anyway.
