Homeschooling in Wyoming
Since July 2025 you no longer hand your curriculum to the district. You just teach the basic academic programme.
Getting started (notice)
none. HB 46, the Homeschool Freedom Act, took effect on 1 July 2025 and removed the requirement to submit your curriculum to the local district each year.
Required subjects
a basic academic educational program, meaning a sequentially progressive curriculum of fundamental instruction in reading, writing, mathematics, civics, history, literature and science.
Records you must keep
none required. Districts may still ask for information such as a curriculum list from families who want public school sports, special education services or academics.
Testing / evaluation
