Homeschooling in Ohio
Since the 2023 rewrite, a simple annual notice covering six subject areas is essentially the whole job. The old assessment and hour requirements are gone.
Getting started (notice)
written notice to the superintendent of your resident school district within 5 calendar days of starting (or moving districts or withdrawing from school), then annually by August 30; it contains the parent's name and address, the child's name, and an assurance the required subjects will be taught. The superintendent must acknowledge in writing within 14 days, and the exemption is effective on receipt.

English language arts, mathematics, science, history, government, and social studies (ORC 3321.042, effective Oct 3, 2023)

none. The 2023 overhaul (HB 33) eliminated the previous annual academic assessment and hours-of-instruction rules
